Privacy policy

This policy covers only the bluescroll.io corporate marketing site. It describes how Bluescroll Inc. handles information collected through this site: primarily analytics, contact-form messages, and any marketing emails you subscribe to. It does NOT cover the products operated by Bluescroll Inc. For product privacy, see vessel.delivery/privacy and storagehero.io/privacy. Those policies are the authoritative source for how customer and end-user data is handled inside the products themselves.

01.What we collect on this site

We collect a small amount of information when you visit bluescroll.io. Most of it is automatic: the kind of request metadata any web server records (IP address, user-agent string, the page you visited, the page that referred you, and the approximate time of the request). We use this both to keep the site running and to understand how it is being used.

If you fill out the contact form or write to one of our published email addresses, we receive whatever you choose to send us: typically your name, your email address, and the body of your message. If you subscribe to a mailing list, we record your email address and the fact that you subscribed.

We do not ask for, and the corporate marketing site does not knowingly collect, sensitive information such as government identifiers, payment information, or precise location.

02.Analytics and cookies

We use a small set of analytics tools to understand aggregate site traffic: page views, navigation paths, and approximate location at the region or city level. Where these tools set cookies, the cookies are either strictly necessary for the site to function (for example, remembering a dark-mode preference) or used for aggregate analytics. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal or a Do Not Track header, we treat that as a request to disable optional analytics for your session.

03.How we use the information

We use site analytics to keep the site working and to decide what to write about. We use contact-form messages and direct emails to reply to you. We use mailing-list addresses to send the specific mailing list you subscribed to, and nothing else.

We do not sell information collected through bluescroll.io. We do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes outside our own mailing lists.

04.Text-message (SMS) notifications

If you opt in to text-message notifications at bluescroll.io/sms, we collect the mobile number you give us and a record that you consented, including the date and time. We use that number for one purpose: to send you account and security messages, such as sign-in verification and notices about your account. We do not run a marketing text program.

No mobile information is sold. We do not share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in and consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share the number only with the messaging providers that carry the messages on our behalf, and only as needed to deliver them. SMS opt-in and consent are never shared with any third party for any purpose other than delivering the messages you asked for.

Message frequency varies and depends on activity on your account. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or get help by replying HELP. To request deletion of the mobile number we hold for you, write to privacy@bluescroll.io.

05.Service providers

We use a small number of vendors to host the site, send mail, and run analytics. Those vendors process information only as needed to provide their service to us, and only under contracts that prohibit them from using the information for their own purposes. A current list of categories (hosting, email delivery, analytics) is available on request.

06.How long we keep things

We keep contact-form messages and direct correspondence for as long as we need them to follow up, and then for a reasonable period after as a record. Mailing-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Raw web logs are retained for a short window (typically thirty days) and then deleted or aggregated.

07.Your rights

<!-- counsel-review: privacy-rights-binding-language -->

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the information we hold about you, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port that information, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address listed at the bottom of this page. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

Residents of California have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected, the right to delete that information subject to certain exceptions, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR.

08.Children

bluescroll.io is a corporate marketing site and is not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

09.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will also note what changed near the top of the policy for a reasonable period.

10.Contact

Write to privacy@bluescroll.io with any question about this policy or about information we hold about you. Mail directed to that address is read by a human at the parent company, not by a product team.
